Sound Design
& Live Audio
A1, A2, TD, and PM for theatre and corporate live events. I mix the show, build and run the system, and keep the audio department on schedule.
01 / What I Do
Roles
I take on the job the production calls for, from designing and running the mix to keeping the whole audio department on track. One-offs and multi-day runs, in the house or on the road.
A1 / Mix
Front of house and monitors. A1 on Yamaha DM7 and CL5. Clean gain structure, dependable routing, and a mix that holds from soundcheck to strike.
A2 / Stage
RF, comms, and stage patch on full-format rigs with complex routing. The person who makes sure everything upstream of the console just works.
TD / Systems
Load-in to load-out. System design and setup, networked audio over Dante, and the call on how the day actually runs.
PM / Coordination
Crew, gear, and schedule across a production, so the technical side lands without surprises.
02 / Selected Work
Projects
A selection of recent productions across sound design, A1, and stage engineering.

06 / About
I'm Ben Stacy. I studied sound design at CCM and now run freelance out of Austin.
I've worked A1, A2, TD, and PM across theatre and corporate live events. I like the calls where the whole chain is my problem, from the first mic to the last speaker.
The way I work is simple. Show up ready, run a clean day, and leave the show better than I found it.
